![]() ![]() I know that I may not be the brightest crayon in the box but my experiences thus far have proven to me that I can cope under pressure and I will never give up until I reach the goals I set for myself, regardless of what's thrown my way. The search over the past two years has been physically, mentally and emotionally draining. Since then, I have only managed to land one interview. My last contract ended eight months ago and I have been completely unemployed since the 28th February 2018. I love what I've studied and I want to be able to pursue a career in Marketing and Media. I know that I do not know everything so I am always willing to learn new skills(I am currently in the process of obtaining an online postgraduate certificate in digital marketing).I have experience in direct sales, administration, management, and teaching. I have approximately 5 years overall professional experience in the diverse environments I have worked in.I am always resilient in the face of adversity.I am an extremely honest and hardworking individual.However, I have received hundreds of emails back informing me that I have been unsuccessful in every single position I have applied for. I have also printed out hundreds of CV's and physically walked to retailers/ shopping malls and companies to drop of my CV. Over the past two years upon graduation, I have sent out thousands of applications for internships/entry level positions within my field (I have had contract jobs in between) and I have contacted hundreds of recruiters with the hopes of assisting me in finding a job. Three days later, over the course of my finals, she died.Īlthough I had faced numerous obstacles throughout my duration at university, I graduated university with a GPA of 3.67 and received merit certificates for my final examinations for the highest averages in some of my media and marketing modules. This was the most devastating obstacle I've ever faced but I knew I had to focus on my exam- so I did just that. The next morning, an hour before I walked into my exam venue, she went into a coma. The night before one of my final papers (which would determine if I would graduate with a degree or not) I found out my grandmother was severely ill. ![]() This was the least I could do for them.ĭuring my final year of university, I lost the only grandparent I knew. I worked tirelessly for three years to keep my academic bursary with the sole intention to be able to give back to my family as they have done so much for me. Two years ago, I was fortunate enough to be able to be the first one in my family to be able to graduate university with a bachelor's degree. I am going to try and be has honest as I can be. Unfortunately, I couldn't get through it without crying so I thought I'd share this with you instead. My intention was to share this message over a video.
